A great monster truck game to play that we like to call the “Grave Digger Dash”.

As we all know, Monster trucks are famous for tearing up the track and throwing up the dirt.  This game allows kids to play in the dirt, race and act like a monster truck.  Split your Monster Jam birthday party guests into two, three or four teams. (depending on the number of guests.) Line the teams up. Give first person on each team a large spoon or a small gardening shovel, and put a small empty pail in front of each line. About 40 feet away, at an equal distance between teams, place a large pail filled with dirt or sand.

When you call out “Grave Digger Dash – GO!” the first players race to the large pail, scoop out the dirt with their shovel or spoon, and run back to the starting line and put the dirt into the empty pail. The game is over when the large pail is empty.  The team with the most dirt in their pail wins!  Hand out small monster truck party favor prizes to all the participants and take a photo of the winning team for your child’s photo album.

Party Food & Drinks

With the Monster Jam Truck birthday party theme, the menu should be fun and fearless.  Think big burgers, thick cut fries and corn dogs.  If you are planning a barbeque, go with smokies, sausages and other types of “stadium foods”.  Purchase snack size bags of potato chips and if possible, rent a popcorn machine.  Is there anything that smells better than freshly popped popcorn?

For dessert, create a Worms in Dirt bar where the guests can build their own Worms in Dirt.  All you need are some clear plastic glasses, chocolate pudding, gummy words and Oreo cookie crumbs. Layer the Oreo cookie crumbs with the chocolate pudding.  On the top layer, put some more Oreo cookie crumbs and then stick in the gummy worms so it looks like they are coming up out of the dessert.

For the all important birthday cake, make or order a simple sheet cake.  Color the icing to match the party decorations and then simply put the Monster Jam Cake topper on & you’re ready to go.  It’s very lightweight (even though it’s a Monster Truck) so it will sit nicely on top of the cake.

Have the Monster Jam Kool Rider Punch ready for when guests get thirsty.  Mix one 4.6 oz of Cherry flavored drink crystals with water according to directions.  Add one can of unsweetened pineapple juice, one can of thawed frozen orange juice concentrate and one can of thawed frozen lemonade.  Just before serving, add one litre of 7-Up or Sprite and plenty of ice or frozen grapes.  You can easily make an adult version of this punch by adding 2 cups of Malibu rum – just remember to keep it away from the kids.

Monster Truck Costumes

This is an easy one!  Ask your guests to come in their jeans and t-shirts.  The entire day needs to be comfy and casual because as everyone knows, a Monster Jam party is all about getting a little dirty and having fun.

As the guests arrive, have them select a Monster Jam tattoo to put on.  These temporary tattoos will help everyone get into the mood of the day.  You can also order the Monster Jam Flame Bandana for everyone to wear.
